Péremptoire

Péremptoire synchronizes a video displayed in a room to the lighting device of that room (printed false ceiling/fluorescent tubes). The video shows a latin typical city center that answers to the picture on the ceiling. The impression of being surrounded and oppressed, due to the repetition of a pattern on the walls and the ceilling, is broken by the paradoxical ending of the video. The video turns off unexpectedly. The device is built up around a timer, a slight desynchronization between the video and the double ceiling lighting generates each time a new reading of the installation.
